Spirit of Happiness
Spirit of Happiness
A true story that captures the essence of Coral, a young Indigenous girl, through memory of family and simpler times. A visual and spiritual journey of her life through celebrations of Christmas.
Once in a while an opportunity arrives allowing for collaboration on a project that has an inspiring story, needing to be told.Working on this stolen generation, inspired by true events, Elevate 70 (Screen West) short film was a true privilege. An exciting opportunity that equally came with a sense of responsibility to tell the narrative in a visually inspiring way.
Using the ARRI ALEXA Mini, paired with the Canon Cinema Prime lenses brought a cinematic beauty to the project. This project also called for efficiency across different setups, allowing for an opportunity to team the ALEXA Mini up with the Black Magic Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K (as 2nd camera), which was educational and enlightening and a great fit for the look and the budget.Overall, a greatly rewarding experience, with the quality results evident in the linked trailer. Happy viewing.
